Watch your students work as a team, problem solve, and learn during a Glazer Children’s Museum Field Trip! Enhance math, science, and literacy concepts through interactive play and exploration as a group. Students Pre K- Grade 8 can play with purpose in over 170 exhibits within 19 themed areas. Curriculum Connections:

All GCM exhibits are educator-designed to encourage thoughtful questioning and critical thinking. We take our role as a community resource that helps kids meet Florida State Standards very seriously. All of our SMALLab and Think Studio experiences directly address Florida State Standards and are a part of our unique DREAM curriculum, which focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math as well as these additional concepts critical to 21st century careers:

D Design Thinking to discover how our world works
R Reading skills to explore, grow, and learn
E Engineering to make us better builders of tomorrow
A A renaissance of all things Art & Architecture
M Mathematical concepts to bind us together, Musical knowledge to keep our toes tapping, and Making a world that we have yet to imagine

Tour Length:

Approximately 3 hours.

Capacity/Logistics:

The museum generally hosts between 50-350 students per day, Tuesday through Friday. Mondays are set aside for special needs groups and a limited engagement program where we provide scholarships for students at Renaissance Schools. School groups may enjoy lunch any time in Curtis Hixon Park excluding the pavement area around the Tampa Museum of Art. In case of inclement weather, an indoor space may be provided.

Admission:

Chaperone-guided Field Trips for PK and K students are $6 per student. Chaperone-Guided Field Trips pricing for students in grades 1-4 is $7. To enhance your trip with our newly design-oriented Think Studios and our one-of-a-kind SMALLabs, a small fee is added:

PK and K $7
1-4 $9 for one additional program (Premium Field Trip)
$11 for two additional programs (Ultimate Field Trip)

Grade 5-8 Field Trips include two Think Studios and one SMALLab for a price of $10 per student. One free teacher/chaperone for every 8 students.

Bus Parking:

Bus parking is available on Gasparilla Plaza on a first-come, first-served basis. Cars and vans park in the adjacent Poe Parking Garage on the corner of Ashley Drive and Cass Street. Standard parking is $1.20 an hour and is regulated by the City of Tampa. When bus parking is no longer available on the Plaza, we direct buses to the nearest available parking location.
